ESIC to start 15 medical colleges for labourers

Employees State Insurance Corporation will start 15 medical colleges for the welfare of laborers in the country. Minister of State for Labor and Employment K Suresh on Wednesday informed media persons at Jaipur that 3 such medical colleges in Karnataka, West Bengal will start soon.

He said that one Medical college of AIIMS standard at Alwar will be completed in next year.640 Cr Rs would be spent on this medical college. He said that ESI will start two 100 bed hospitals in Udaipur and Kishangarh in Rajasthan also and spent 8 Cr Rs for repair work of 39 ESI dispensaries in the state.

K Suresh said that a super specialty ESI hospital will also start work at Jaipur this year. Mr. Suresh said that the government is considering for enhancing EPF pension by 1000 Rs.
