Govt rolls out six new schemes in Guwahati

The Union Health and Family Welfare minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has rolled out six new schemes in Guwahati.Addressing a gathering at Sarusaji Stadium Mr.Azad said that Assam became the first state to launch so many health schemes in a single day.

Out of the six schemes, Tele radiology and Mother and Child Tracking system has been started for the first time in the country. It will cover 5 districts in the first phase while Mother and Child tracking system will decrease Maternal Mortality Rate and help in child immunization. The Union Health minister also launched National Iron plus Initiative, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, National 102 Ambulance service and Free Drug Services. Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and state Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also attended the programme.
